Enrolment Expression of Interest

Families seeking enrolment at Balcatta Senior High School are invited to submit an Expression of Interest. This form allows the school to gather preliminary information and provide guidance on the enrolment process, including eligibility, intake area requirements and available programs. Upon submission, families will be contacted with further information and next steps.

Eligibility for Enrolment

We will be accepting enrolments for Year 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 for 2027, from 20 April 2026.

A child is guaranteed enrolment at Balcatta Senior High School if their usual place of residence falls within the local intake area, they are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold an approved temporary visa, and they are under 18 years of age.

Students may also be eligible for enrolment through selection into the School’s Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Academic Program.

Applicants who do not meet these criteria are welcome to apply; however, enrolment is not guaranteed. Where a child resides outside the local intake area, their application may be considered provided the School has sufficient capacity to accommodate local students for the duration of enrolment and can meet the student’s educational needs.

All families have the right to apply to enrol their children at any public school. Applications from outside the local intake area will be assessed in accordance with the Department of Education enrolment policy.

Enrolment Process

Enrolment at Balcatta Senior High School is a two-stage process.

Application for Enrolment – A parent or legal guardian lodges an Application for Enrolment form with the School. The Principal will consider the information provided and determine if the child is eligible for enrolment. By lodging the completed application, the applicant is requesting consideration for enrolment by the Principal based on true, complete and accurate disclosure of required information. All applications will receive a response at the earliest convenience of the School. Applications from outside the local-intake area received by the application closing date, the first Friday of Term 3 each year, will be notified of the outcome three weeks after that date.
Enrolment – If your child is eligible for enrolment, you will be provided with further information from the School. The School may request further information to support the planning for an appropriate education program for your child.
